I will never understand people who feel the need to tell others what to do, how to act, and how to feel. Society, or a part of the tumblr community at least, can be constricting at times. We all claim to want to be understood, but we fail miserably in our ability to apply the kindness and sympathy we reblog on our own sites. I am tired of people shushing me down when I feel the need to stand up for something. I am tired of society encouraging us to voice our thoughts, to act how we want, to stand for something we believe in even if others will disagree. Yet at the same time, the same society condemns us for “whining and complaining like a little bitch drama queen.” Why do we find pleasure in the misery of others? Why do we find pleasure in feeling as we are “above” someone, like a big brother shaking his head and getting frustrated at the mistakes of his younger sibling? We are all experts at “PLEASE DON’T SAY THAT TO ME UNTIL YOU HAVE FELT WHAT I HAVE FELT.” But we are all amateurs in sympathy should the situation happen to someone else and not to our poor little selves. It’s as if it’s NOT okay to be lectured when society is staring us down. But it is completely fine when we are the ones doing the condescending lecturing to someone else. “Speak up for yourself, even if your voice shakes!” but then again, “NO, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE AN OUTBURST. WE WILL UNFOLLOW YOU AND CONDEMN YOUR STUPID IMMATURITY AT THE SAME TIME.” Which is it? WHICH IS IT? You claim to hate when someone, your parents, your society, tells and dictates how you should act, say, or feel. But have you ever stopped for awhile to think - maybe YOU are part of that society?

Doesn’t know who the poet is??? She probably found the poem from my IMAGE POST which has my NAME AND TUMBLR URL AT THE BOTTOM SO SHE OBVIOUSLY COPIED IT FROM MY IMAGE POST UUUUUGH.
I refuse to accept such excuses should that be her reason! If she had the fucking time to stare at my image post and copy the exact same words in the exact same phrasing/cuts, then she has fucking time to move her eyesight one inch lower to see the writer’s name!
